Violating Self-Narratives

You say to yourself, "I am this way and I am not that way. I do this thing and I do not do that thing." You know this to be true. However:

What if you tried that as a haha funny joke with yourself, just as a bit, just for fun?

What if you tried that as a way of making sure that that is not for you, that you are in fact all about this?

What if you talked with people who are super into that and learned about how that positively affects their lives?

What if, if that seems like too much, you tried out the smallest possible version or the first step of that, just th or even t?

What if you imagined yourself trying that and took careful notice of what thoughts and sensations emerge?

What if you considered that that might be less daunting and less difficult than you've told yourself it is?

What if you imagined the best possible outcome of that?
